請問all 後面到底要加單數還是複數動詞？
答案：
如果all的意思是指「全部」或是「唯一」，那麼做主詞的時候，動詞就用單數。
例句：
l My sister is really strange. All she talks about is rabbits.
我妹妹真的很怪，她每天開口閉口都是兔子。(她每天講的，唯一會提到的，都是跟兔子有關的事情，這時候請用單數動詞。)
l All he wants is a little love from you.
l All you need to make the perfect chocolate pie is a bar of chocolate and some
butter.(這邊巧克力與奶油是一體的，兩者不能拆開來，所以用單數動詞)
l I am not going to Chloe’s class anymore, because all she
talks about in class is ghosts and reincarnation. (鬼與輪迴是她唯一會談的東西)
可是如果all的意思是「他們全部」或是「每一個人」的時候，那動詞就要用複數了
l All the students are gone.
l All of us are here to listen to your adventure.
l All must eat in order to live.(強調每一個人)
問題2.
每次都會忍不住說出although/but這種句型，要不然就是because /so，該怎麼辦？

答案：
請記一個口訣，那就是一山容不下二虎。
例句：
l (X) Although she is over 50, but she doesn’t look her age. (一山不能有二虎，所以這句話是錯的)
l (O) Although
she is over 50, she doesn’t look her age. (although
跟 but 只能二選一。)
這句話的意思是，雖然她已經年過50，實際年紀卻看不出有那麼老)
l She is over 50, but she doesn’t look her age.
Because/so句型看這裡
l (X) Because I really like Jack, so I want to go out with him. (錯誤)
l (O) Because I really like Jack, I want to go out with him.(正確)
l (O) I really like Jack, so I want to go out with him. (正確)
問題3.
我不太知道什麼時候要用amount 什麼時候又要用number。為什麼不能說a big amount of money? 英文的錢這個字，不是不可數的嗎？
答案：
錯誤句型
(X) My
father is making a big amount of money in Taiwan.
正確句型
(O) My
father is making a large /huge amount of money in Taiwan.
錯誤句型
(X) The
number of tourists in Taiwan gets bigger every year.
正確句型
(O) The
number of tourists in Taiwan gets larger/greater every year.
錯誤句型
(X) The amount of tourists in Taiwan increases every year.
正確句型
(O)The number of tourists in Taiwan increases every year.
錯誤句型
(X) A large
number of our fitness equipment was damaged after the earthquake.
正確句型
(O) A large amount of our fitness equipment was damaged after the
earthquake.
(記得amount後面不可數要用單數動詞)
(O) A large number of pieces of equipment were damaged after the earthquake.
(記得number of pieces of 用在不可數的器材equipment，若使用了number of pieces of 之後就可接複數動詞)
最後提點
1. 用large 或small來描述amount 或number，不要用big 和 little. 如下:
l Large amount, small amount,
large number, small number (O)
l Big amount, big number, little
amount, little number (X)
2. 如果後面的名詞是可數，就應該用number
3. 如果後面的名詞是不可數，就應該用amount
例句：
l The number
of computers
manufactured each year keeps increasing.
l The amount
of money charged to my account is $ 100,000.
