Girls and boys alike still search for role models. In a way, they develop an idea of what is expected of them from the images they come across in their daily lives. They compare themselves to what they see in magazines, in movies, and on TV. If they don’t match these images in appearance, they feel out of place. Such feelings can lead to depression and problems later on in life. Some girls have gone to extremes to change the way they look in order to match the women they see in magazines. A result of this is that cases of anorexia and bulimia are increasing. These problems are also being seen in younger children. 迷你高爾夫很好玩，在美國，通常都是全家大小同樂的活動。有些迷你高爾夫球場，會費盡心思為每個洞設定一些 Theme (主題)，讓視覺效果更具噱頭。上圖的挑戰就是要將高爾夫球打進蛇的嘴巴裡面，然後球會從尾巴跑出來之類的......這個球場好像是在佛羅里達州的奧蘭多市。台灣也有minigolf，有興趣的人可以上網找找，我記得關渡有一家。想要享受揮桿樂趣的人，我覺得打minigolf可能會有點失望，因為受限於場地，只能練練putter(推桿)功力。說到高爾夫我就很慚愧了。我的母親是個高爾夫業餘健將，她球齡二十幾年了，平常隨便下場打一打也有八十幾桿的成績。對一個快要七十歲的女人而言，還真是了不起。大家可別覺得打高爾夫球沒啥麼，我去球場陪我娘走過，走了八個洞就累個半死，冬天狂風吹到膀胱無力，夏天則會曬到想死...... 真要論運動，我比較喜歡騎單車跟游泳，當然還有打羽毛球。之前還加入過一個羽球隊打了兩年多，很多球友看我這款漢草，都不敢惹我說...... Miniature 這個字非常好用。大家去玩的 小人國 ，英文就是 Miniature world . 微型公仔 ，英文是 miniature figures 。如下圖，將來3D影印機就能印出這種玩意兒...超期待。 關於3D影印機，我的部落格也有介紹過喔，請點  http://chloeyachun.blogspot.tw/2013/07/blog-post_24.html  所以 mini golf 的全名是 miniature golf 。此外，跟這個 迷你 或是 袖珍 扯上邊的，還有 miniature garden迷你(袖珍)花園造景 , 這是目前國外超夯的嗜好。(如下圖)。我對袖珍( miniature )的東西超迷。多年前我還去參觀過位於台北的袖珍博物館 The miniature museum。 沒去過但是有興趣的人可以上網查一下開放時間與地點。我個人認為，袖珍博物館是很好的約會場所，因為有東西可以看不怕沒話題聊，場面不會冷掉。 好了，學完了 miniature 這個字，我們言歸正傳，回頭來看看這個 mini golf course 迷你高爾夫球場。 這個洞也很有趣，一雙熊的腳， 狼人叫做werewolf ，墓碑上有個朝下的箭頭，寫著Th...

耶誕節來聊聊有趣的東西吧。我經常覺得，宗教本來的意義與目的是為了提供正向的心靈慰藉，而且勸人向善，無奈老是有人打著宗教的旗幟，去反對這個，批評那個。不久前我在一個部落格看到了一段文章，這個人說了一段話，這段話可能會讓很多白種人基督徒皺眉吧。 "Not trying to be Politically Correct, but for all you devoted Christians who firmly believe that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus, are you aware that Jesus Christ was a Jew , born in late Spring , not during the Winter Solstice ? Some people, however, were not satisfied with letting the experts have all the fun. Instead, they wanted to be able to experience zero gravity for themselves. Luckily, this has become possible thanks to a number of private companies that offer to take civilians into space. Potential passengers have to go through a certain amount of training before their spaceflight. These commercial trips take passengers more than 100 kilometers above the Earth for about three hours. Once in space, the passengers get to experience out-of-this-world views of the planet and stars as well as around six minutes of weightlessness.
